Water Skills for Life (WSFL)

Timaru District students will have the chance to learn to swim to survive by receiving subsidised lessons at the Caroline Bay Trust Aoraki Centre. Thanks to a joint initiative, more than 1000 children in the area will receive ten 25-30 minute water safety lessons. The quality lessons will be delivered by our fully trained instructors and is offered to Years 0-8 at all primary schools in and around the district.

This programme is made possible through funding received from Water Safety NZ, Safeboating NZ and Trust Aoraki, as well as support from the Timaru District Council.

The WSFL programme ensures all kiwi kids in the district have essential skills to stay safer in and around the water.
